WUTH Charity is also designated as an NHS Charity, registered with the Charity Commission (registered charity number 1050469).
Our Mission
“To further improve the quality of WUTH’s patient care, by issuing grants for the purchase of medical equipment, improvement of Trust facilities and for the direct enhancement of the patient experience in other imaginative ways. This is achieved through the spontaneous generosity of the general public and by fundraising activities, events and appeals.”
What we do
WUTH Charity raises funds to make a real difference to patient care in our hospitals. Our work directly touches the lives of the thousands of patients of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, cared for in both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals each year, as well as the many more friends and family members who visit them.
Our Charity has 8 funds, created to make sure we can make the biggest impact possible. In addition to our ‘general’ Patient Wish fund, we are targeting our fundraising on a number of carefully selected areas.
All funds raised through WUTH Charity will assist Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to provide the best possible patient experience, for example through improving patient environments, creating welcoming visitors’ areas and purchasing world-class medical equipment. The Charity never funds projects outside the Trust. We often focus on the very inexpensive ‘little things that mean a lot’ - every donation we receive – large or small – makes a difference.
